Summer Program

First Practice: Monday April 23rd
Last Practice: Wednesday September 5th
Mondays 6:30 – 8:30pm

Fall Program

First Practice: Monday September 10th
Last Practice: Wednesday October 17th
Mondays 6 - 7:30pm
Wednesdays 6 - 7:30pm

NO PRACTICES July 11th to 31st (inclusive)

Description

For athletes between ages of 14 – 18 interested in paddling at the highest level the sport of dragon boat racing has to offer. This program is designed to compete at the highest international level and will aim to peak at the 2018 Club Crew World Championships in Szeged, Hungary. This program is looking for motivated athletes (regardless of paddling experience) that are willing to grow and evolve into the best paddlers and athletes they have ever been.

Program Goals

  • To have a full program consisting of 20+ men and 20+ women
  • To compete at the 2018 Canadian Championships in Welland, Ontario
  • To instill physical, technical and psychological excellence in our athletes towards their future performances
  • To attract athletes who would like to go on the journey of a lifetime
  • To reach peak performance at the 2018 Club Crew World Championships in Szeged, Hungary

Registration

Cost:
Youth Program Membership = $400 includes HST

Includes:

  • Pickering Community Festival June 2 & 3rd
  • Guelph Dragon Boat Challenge August 11th
  • GWN – Marilyn Bell Park September 8 & 9th
Does Not Include: Racing Jersey or Canadian Championships fees
